Thought your would like an update... LZ (Lady Zipster) is coming along wonderfully. My little chestnut TB sold, so we went and bought the Princess LZ a used big, bright, and airy Hawk GN Trailer. Which she is hauling like a pro in alone, finally.
She was a last minute replacment for another horse who I ride for the owner at the intro level at Plantation Fields event the other week, was a tad nervous in dressage ring but pulled off a 30! Clean xc and stadium to finish 3rd.
I took her to my trainers (Jane Sleeper) for the past weekend. Jane LOVES her and says she is deff. THE horse. Worked on just getting her more straight on Sat. Sun we went to Fair Hill xc schooling... amazing just amazing. This was only her second time schooling xc. The first time we just did some very straight forward coops and such. This time many different (BN to some easier P/T) ditches, banks, drops, and water, with some novice to smaller training level jumps. The prelim size drop was a bit of a looker for her the first time. LZ threatened to rear for a bit. But stepped off like a gem when our leader went off it beside her. The second time she looked really quick and just stepped right off it.
I am still undecided if she is going to actually event this summer. The ground is so hard right now. Most likely I am going to take her to Waredaca in Aug. Maybe entering the MD HT II (need to make my mind up today though as entries close).
Thank you for giving me the chance to come and buy her. LZ is living up the good life right now at becoming an eventer. She loves jumping, tries really hard to understand the dressage, and gets more carrots and peppermints from our son then any horse could ever dream of having.
