Three Plain Bay strives to make your buying experience as hassle free and stress free as possible. We do understand buying a new horse is a huge financial undertaking and not to be taken lightly. To keep everything clear and up front so there will be no misunderstandings we have some guide lines.

Our horses unless otherwise stated are green OTTB prospects not made finished show horses. Not every rider will be comfortable or experienced enough unless working with a trainer to undertake an OTTB. Every effort is made to match the correct horse with the correct rider.

Horses can been seen free jumping. Lunging or free in the ring. Three Plain Bays rider who does the jump schooling is on site 10:30 AM Tuesdays or else by appointment should you not have a rider to jump the horse under tack.

Horses maybe tried under saddle, a "Hold Harmless" contract must be signed. All riders must wear ASTM approved head protection and appropriate footwear.

Minors Must be accompanied by an Adult, Parent or Guardian. Person Financially responsible for purchase must sign sales agreement.

Dogs must be left in your vehicle. Small children need an adult to supervise.

No Off-Site trial periods are permitted.

We welcome you to come and see the horse being schooled by our rider, try the horse for your self or have your trainer ride the horse. Video and still photos are encouraged.

We will "hold" a horse under limited contract for 72 hours on a $50.00 fee. Credited towards your purchase should you need time and fear losing horses to another sale.

A sales agreement must be signed with a price before any horse will proceed to a Pre-Purchase if one is requested. Pre-Purchases must be done in a timely manner.

Every effort will be made to fully disclose any know previous lameness/health issues and any owned diagnostics will be shared. We cannot be held responsible for information we do not have from previous owner or trainers at the race track. I make extraordinary efforts to gather as mush as possible before I buy the horse to begin with.

Three Plain Bays may pay for 50% of a second opinion should a question arise.

Should a horse "Fail" a Pre-Purchase, Three Plain Bays requires that their Veterinarian Dr. Carolyn Littel be granted privileges to review any radiographs and diagnostics.

***Only under extenuating circumstances will a horse be shipped off-site to a Pre-Purchase. And then only up to a 50 mile radius and a $2.50 charge per mile to compensate for fuel and time. Same applies to taking horse to a "specialist" consult not readily available. Should horse not be purchased the same for return trip.
