Testimonials

July 2012

Wish I had a photo to show you... Solo (Don't Include Me) is feeling fine and working out wonderfully. Cantered her for the first time in the arena briefly this afternoon. We need to work on balance but it will come in time. She hadn't been turned out today, had no lunging, and I just hopped on her and rode. I can't say I'd be that trusting with too many 4 year old horses! And then, just because I think it's good for their minds and because I don't like to only do arena work, she and I took a nice long hack along the edge of the fields next to the property. A little bit of "looky-ness" but nothing crazy. A neigh here and there wondering where the other horses were, but overall, just a pleasant ride enjoying a beautiful summer day with a slight breeze. Who could ask for anything more?!

Solo is EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! (I wish I had a photo of our hack but I stupidly forgot my cell phone--good thing I didn't need it!) I don't know how you find all these wonderful OTTBs but you sure do find the creme de la creme!

Best regards, Jeanine & Solo

** Three Plains Bays policy is to make every conceivable effort to sell their personally owned OTTB's into a sports or pleasure horse home. It is not our interest to send a retired horse back to a Flat Track Racing Career. Exceptions have been made on an individual basis only after all other efforts have been exhausted, previous owner/trainer agrees or horse himself makes it clear they are not going to enjoy another lifestyle. No horse over the age of 5 will be sent back to Flat Racing regardless.
